MEET THE TEAM ABOUT THE PROJECT

Meet the Team

In January 2009 the Royal Geographical Society gave us a grant to make this all possible,  so we gave up our day jobs to work on Atlantic Rising  full time.

Tim Bromfield

Tim worked for five years at Accenture where he led projects such as the Guardian’s Katine project in Uganda. During this time he also helped build Accenture’s sustainability practice. Desperate to swap his suit for sandals, he has run a number of fundraising campaigns for the African Medical and Research Foundation. He has written for The Ecologist, Geographical and Grist, and is producing radio pieces for the BBC's World Today programme. Tim graduated from Cambridge with a degree in Geography and has worked as a teacher in both London and Uganda.

Will Lorimer

After leaving Cambridge University with a first class degree in Social Anthropology, Will went to film school in Manchester before working as a cameraman in Palestine, Poland and America. He has worked on productions for the BBC and Channel 4 as well as directing programmes for Five, National Geographic and the Discovery Channel. He is producing a radio series for BBC World Service during this expedition. When not working, he is found on the west coast of Scotland with a fishing rod in his hand and mud between his toes.

Lynn Morris

Lynn finally settled in London working as a video journalist for the Press Association, after spending six years as a reporter in three different continents. She blames her wanderlust on a childhood spent between family in Kenya and Somerset. She graduated from Cambridge in 2002 with a MA in Social Anthropology and also has an MA in Visual Anthropology from Manchester University. During the expedition Lynn was recording and editing radio interviews for the BBC and writing for various magazines ranging from The Ecologist to Land Rover Owner International.Back in the UK, Lynn continues to freelance and welcomes commissions.
