Atlantic Rising talks

Posted By Tim on January 25 2011

Over the last couple of years we have given talks to audiences around the Atlantic Ocean. We have spoken to salty shipping crews and Rotary Clubs, in Liberian villages and celebrated venues like the Nantucket Atheneum. Our travellers’ tales have distracted the most persistent policemen and tickled drunken Prime Ministers. And we have spoken to thousands of pupils in schools across four continents around the Atlantic.
After 28,000 miles, 21 countries and 15 months we are back in the UK and will be talking to audiences around the country about our experiences. Our presentations are suitable for a variety of audiences and cover a range of subjects including: the rewards of risk, planning, teamwork, challenge and perseverance. And curriculum subjects: geography, climate change, history, citizenship, cultural awareness and much more. Audiences are invited to share in our adventure, through video and audio clips, and a magnificent selection of photos.

One of the objectives of Atlantic Rising was to give unheard people a voice in the climate change debate. By touring the UK we hope to provide a platform for those we have met to be heard and to share the work that we started with schools around the Atlantic.
